It is sad. Crazy. Weird..... I'm still stunned.

....it will detect access to pornography, any sexually explicit content, gambling, shopping, racist or violent/abusive information as well as other unsavoury content. Users should also be aware that some RSS feeds from sites such as bit torrent, adbrite and youtube contain data which falls into the adult/pornographic content area and will be logged. Some of these feeds provide almost continuous streams of this type of data which will certainly get our attention. The introduction of these measures is for the protection of users.....
blah blah blah Guess that's life. For the protection of users....unsavory content? What the hell is that? And to think that a bunch of grown-ups- most with PhD's can't decide for themselves what is suitable to look at. I guess even seeing something racist or pornographic might make you insane, and obvoiusly if you've surfed to it it must be true, and you obviously agree with it...... it's just thought police..... making sure you think their way. What is a scientist supposed to think anyway? I'm not really sure how we are supposed to think outside the box when the box they put us in is so small and confining, and every rule ensures we can't get out.

Can't recommend my workplace as a good place to be. It's kind of sad these days. Mostly full of people looking for somewhere else to go. I'm just looking into crystal trays.
